The operators inside Barotseland
None of these destinations has a public booking desk, and no single company covers all four. These are the operators based inside Barotseland rather than reselling it from outside — the ones who can confirm dates, water levels and availability for the season you are actually looking at.
Liuwa Plain National Park
The park’s official visitor site — Liuwa Camp, the community campsites, guided game drives, self-drive permits and the Kuomboka Festival experience. Reservations go to the park’s tourism office.
Liuwa Plain National Park
The only permanent lodge inside Liuwa — six open-front villas on the Munde Stream, reached by a 15-minute helicopter transfer from Kalabo. Typically open mid-October to mid-July; minimum age 5.
Upper Zambezi, Western Zambia
A small camp (five chalets, ten guests) on a private stretch of the Upper Zambezi, running 5–7 night tiger-fishing trips. Fishing is March to early January; drift boats and motor boats.
Sioma Ngwezi & Ngonye Falls, Upper Zambezi
The operator based on this stretch of the Zambezi. Runs the Ngonye Falls Safari — five nights across two camps over roughly 160 km of river, including a white-sand beach camp inside Ngonye Falls National Park — plus trips into Sioma Ngwezi and tiger fishing.
Barotse is an independent guide. We are not a tour operator and we do not sell these trips — booking is direct with the operator. Nothing on this page is a paid placement, and none of these operators has any say over what this guide says. Links last checked 2026-09-23.
